...so I went and won Camp NaNoWriMo, the April and July versions of the writing challenge. To be fair, as you're allowed to do anything from scripts, novellas and editing, I started with the 40-odd thousand words of my WIP and set a target of 65k. In between that I had day job stuff, a jaunt to Glasgow and query angst. And I validated my word count with FIVE MINUTES TO GO.

Proof, innit )

So, thanks to more logistics-furtling with removal people, they're now coming down to pack things on the 15th, then they start heading north on the 16th and we get the keys and unload on the 17th. This means, realistically, we've really only got 2 full weeks left to pack things and say our goodbyes.

AAARGHHHHHH.

But so far everything is awesome. )

I totally forgot about posting these, but they're so shiny and I'm distracting myself from packing that I thought I'd sling them up now. Also, the colder months tend to result in more WoW playing because a) it's cold and b) the laptop is warm. <3

The King is dead, long live the King )

And if you don't play WoW, well isn't it all shiny and pretty and stuff. ;)

In other non-WoW news Pete and I are off to Gatwick tomorrow, staying overnight, then we're off to Bucharest until Tuesday! Shout if you want something nice brought back :P

I thought we'd have a quiet first full day at the Fringe, but alas it was never meant to be. Instead we took on one serious piece of theatre, some character comedy and some musical Fringe veterans.

Read on for reviews... )

Fringe Refreshments of the Day: Swift half of cider at the Pleasance Courtyard, and dinner at Mamma's in the Grassmarket. Gluten-haters should note it was the first pizzeria in town to offer gluten-free bases, and they're awesome for a takeaway slice as well as sitting in. I recommend the Fireball topping with the spicy tomato base sauce, and the dense chocolate cheesecake of death.

Roll on tomorrow's Fringe randomness! Oh, and here's the famous 4 Chord Song to keep you going...
